Heron Point is the newest neighborhood in Seal Beach, with the first homes sold in 2004. This neighborhood is best known for its spacious homes, quiet seclusion, beautifully landscaped streets and walking trails.

Built by John Laing Homes, the neighborhood was well thought out with ample open space, walking trails and no through traffic thanks to a gated entrance. The homes in Heron Point range from 4 – 6 bedrooms, 4,000+ sq/ft and are situated on lots ranging from 6,000 – 13,000+ sq/ft.

Heron Point is unique in that it feels like a community within a community. Only 67 homes were built in this neighborhood (compare that to nearly 1000 homes on The Hill) and it’s easy to see why this is a tight-knit neighborhood.

This neighborhood is centrally located in Seal Beach across the Boulevard from the Naval Station, a short drive to the 405 freeway (2.6 miles or 7 minutes) and walking distance to McGaugh Elementary School.

Heron Point is very much a pride of ownership neighborhood and is family friendly. With only three streets, two of which have a cul-de-sac at each end, it’s common to see children playing in front of their homes. The tight-knit theme is even carried through to a neighborhood e-newsletter keeping resident’s current on local events, political & municipal matters.

Residents here enjoy the walking trails within Heron Point as well as the trails that connect to nearby Gum Grove Park. Another favorite walking trail takes walker’s down around the lower street along a path the ends at a resting area. Here people can learn about the ancient Indian Tribe that occupied the bluffs in Seal Beach long ago.
